With a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Jorge is President of MILES and a visionary leader who has redefined the A&E delivery model by emphasizing full-spectrum project management from inception to completion—not just planning and design. Leveraging the firm’s 44+ year legacy, he leads with clarity and innovation, directing some of its most high-profile national and international projects, totaling over $3.5 billion in value. By combining regional insight with a global perspective, he assembles and leads cross-functional teams that deliver specialized solutions within iconic architectural designs. His client-first mindset and commitment to tailored, results-driven solutions have fostered long-term partnerships built on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jorge blends his Caribbean heritage—rooted in vibrant culture and adaptive innovation—with a Midwestern pragmatism honed over decades of designing high-performing environments across the U.S. His expertise spans a wide range of building types—including laboratories, healthcare facilities, corporate workplaces, and higher education campuses—where precision, creativity, and performance intersect. His portfolio includes biosafety labs, modular research hubs, sustainable STEM education centers, and complex healthcare environments—each defined by ergonomic efficiency, technological integration, and future adaptability. This depth of experience has earned him national recognition, including multiple appointments by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has served on Special Emphasis Technical Review Panels for construction grant applications and, in 2015, completed a four-year term on the NIH’s Scientific and Technical Review Board for Biomedical and Behavioral Research Facilities.
A proud transplant to Oklahoma City, Jorge is a passionate advocate for the region’s ongoing transformation. In 2017, he showcased Oklahoma’s achievements on the global stage by presenting the GE Global Research Facility at an international design conference in Madrid. His commitment to the community extends beyond his professional work, with active roles on several nonprofit boards and his current appointment as an Oklahoma City Urban Design Commissioner.
