The Stephenson Research & Technology Center was the first building to be completed on The University of Oklahoma's south campus development. To meet the constantly changing requirements of a dynamic research environment, this two-story facility provides flexible research laboratory and office space for multi-disciplinary research teams; including human genomics, functional genomics, microbial genomics, adaptive systems, and high-performance computing.

The building has both private and shared laboratories and is configured to support the collaborative initiatives prevalent in the fields of bio-sciences, bio-engineering, robotics, and super-computing. A high-performance computing space houses the OU Supercomputing Center for Education and Research (OSCER) and its massive computer systems. From within this space, researchers from The University of Oklahoma and beyond have access to some of the latest computer technologies available.

The first floor of the Stephenson Research and Technology Center includes components for OU's biology and the bio-engineering departments. Flexible laboratory research space and a zebra-fish breeding facility support the research taking place throughout the center.
